ROMAN PIERCE is the youngest of six siblings in a traditional, working class, Italian-American family. As the youngest sibling, Roman was constantly subjected to ridicule and humiliation at the hands of his brothers and sisters throughout his entire childhood. In order to counter the daily barrage of psychological dodgeball, Roman developed a quick-witted, sarcastic sense of humor.
Originally from Oswego, New York, Roman began performing stand-up comedy in March 2005 at Nick's Comedy Stop in Boston, MA. He won the stand-up comedy competition at the 2009 Rhode Island Comedy Festival. Roman was the runner-up in both the 2008 Catch A New Rising Star stand-up comedy competition at Catch A Rising Star at the Twin River Casino in Lincoln, RI, and the 2012 Unforgettable Comedy Challenge stand-up comedy competition at Wise Guys Comedy Club in Syracuse, NY. Roman was also a semi-finalist in the 2015 Last Comix Standing stand-up comedy contest at Comix Comedy Club at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, CT.
Roman made his network television debut in 2007 on the Too Hot for Prime Time episode of NBC's Last Comic Standing. He was also featured on Fox Providence's An Hour With Bob. In 2009, Roman debuted on MYTV's The Steve Katsos Show. In 2010, he became the first repeat performer on The Steve Katsos Show and also performed on the First Anniversary Show.
Academically, Roman has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice from the State University of New York at Oswego and a Master of Arts degree in criminal justice and forensic criminology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
From 2002 to 2008, Roman served in the United States Navy Reserve as an Intelligence Analyst for the Office of Naval Intelligence. He was honorably discharged with a rank of Petty Officer First Class.
